I like Lady Gaga. And I really like Hall & Oates. So it’s a no brainer that I would make a mashup/medley of the two, right? Maybe not, but either way, I took a quick break from working on the new EP to record a little video of this cover.
And as I said, I’ve been in the studio working on a bunch of new songs, and I should have a new EP with brand new songs in a few weeks! Stay tuned for more information and album details!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Hope everyone was able to spend some time relaxing with friends and family (and hopefully you still have some leftovers).
Additionally, I have some exciting news! Once I recover from eating too many sweet potatoes and stuffing, I’m getting ready to head back into the studio and finish up some new songs for another EP! And it’s always dangerous to talk about release dates before an album is finished, but hopefully I’ll have it done by January! It’ll be a lot of work, but I’m optimistic! I’ll keep you updated!
I’ve gotten a lot of requests to make a video for this song, and while I try to stay away from Beatles songs (it’s so intimidating to cover their songs), I’m really happy with how it turned out! I hope you like it!
This morning I performed live on Houston’s FOX 26 along with Aisha Ussery Adams to promote tomorrow night’s concert at Rockefeller Hall with Music Doing Good, a non profit that promotes philanthropic giving through musical concerts. I will be playing a new song entitled “Reconsidering The Moon,” tomorrow night with a full band, and this morning Aisha and I gave an acoustic preview. Hope you like it!

I just released a new video for “Lover, You Should Know,” as part of my “Songs In Simple Places” video series. Some friends of mine moved into a new house and had no furniture, so instead of giving them furniture (as if I have any spare furniture), I sang a song in their empty dining room!

I’ll be performing next Thursday night at Christ the King Lutheran Church. The show will be a follow up to the shows I played in Germany this summer and I’ll be performing many of the songs I performed while I was abroad. The show begins at 6:30pm, and tickets are $10 ($5 for students).

I’m starting a new series of videos today called Songs In Simple Places, where I’ll get live recordings of small intimate performances in everyday, non traditional performance spaces.
The first installment in the Songs In Simple Places series is a recording of “The Rise & The Fall” recorded in an apartment stairwell in Germany while I was touring through Leipzig.
