Putting the finishing touches on a song I wrote with the incredible Melody Sheppard the other week in Nashville. I had so much fun writing with her (in what was probably the best recording studio I’ve EVER seen), and can’t wait to finish this song! Also, we somehow both wound up wearing all black because that’s clearly the best color to wear in the summer in the south…

Local Houston media station Meeko TV had me over to their studio for a live performance and an interview. Featuring live renditions of “Lover, You Should Know,” and “Cranes,” as well as me talking about Game of Thrones (no spoilers).

Day 1 – early mornings, laptops, and blueberries

Big thanks to Chase Hamblin, Corey Power, and everyone who came out to Dean’s Downtown on Sunday night! It was so much fun sharing the stage with these two and getting to sing some impromptu harmonies with them!

SXSW Week 2016 is here! I have 4 shows lined up over the next few days, so if you’re in Austin come hear some new songs and hear me complain about the heat like a grumpy old man!

Had an incredible photo shoot yesterday with Houston photographer Jordan Asinas. I also drew a picture of Spider-Man and made him saying “This was a swinging good party!” because I’m a big fan of Spider-Man and puns.

I had so much fun performing last night with 14 year old Kevin Chan, an amazing violinist who joined me onstage for an incredible version of “Cerberus.” Kevin has won numerous awards throughout Texas for his playing, and it was an honor to share the stage with him!
